A wonderful day with this Loire Valley tour, where you will discover the 3 main castles of this marvellous region where nobles and french royalty have left an exceptional architectural heritage in building around 1,000 magnificent castles and manor houses. In year 2000 UNESCO added the Loire region to its list of World Heritage Sites. In  choosing this area the committee explained that the Loire Valley is "an exceptional cultural landscape, of great beauty, comprised of historical cities and villages, a unique style of monuments and gardens that have been cultivated ans shaped by centuries of interaction between the local population and its environ and in particular the Loire river itself. For sure there is no better place than the Loire valley to witness and admire the masterpieces of the Renaissance architecture in France.

This memorable Loire Valley catles tour will lead you to the castle of Chambord located in Europe's largest park and famous for its 440 rooms and the "double spiral" stairway most likely designed by Leonardo da Vinci who was invited in France by the king Francis 1st, the builder of Chambord.

This Loire Valley tour will then continue to the castle of Amboise built on a promontory overlooking the Loire river and where you will see the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci the painter of the world famous Mona Lisa. Amboise was built during the 15th and 16th centuries under the reign of three kings : Charles VIII, Louis XII and Francis 1st. The castle still houses a magnificent very well preserved collection of furniture.

The trip will go on towards Chenonceaux the castles of the 6 ladies built in 1513 on the Cher river and famous for its marvellous french formal gardens.
